Manila Nature's Link Corp Inks Covenant with the Philippine Red Cross

Mandaluyong City – The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) gathered its most exceptional donors, corporate partners, and representatives from several chapters at its annual event that officially marked the start of PRC’s fund generating activities. Dubbed as the “2016 Annual Fundraising Kick Off,” PRC recognized these partnering institutions that have significantly raised funds for its programs and humanitarian causes. A dual program ceremony, this awarding and covenant signing event was held on April 14 at the Logistics and Multipurpose Hall of the Philippine Red Cross.

In attendance at this Fund and Membership Kick Off Ceremony were Philippine Red Cross Chairman and CEO, Richard “Dick” Gordon; Secretary General, Gwendolyn “Gwen” Pang; and members of its Board of Governors such as Corazon Alma G. De Leon, Antonio “Tony” Soriano, Leonida “Baby” Ortiz, Juan Miguel ”Migz” Zubiri, Ernesto Isla, and Novey Robert Dolde. Also present in the event were Red Cross representatives from several international and local chapters, media partners, corporations, and organizations that support PRC’s drive for humanitarian causes.

One of the program highlights was the covenant signing between the Philippine Red Cross and Manila Nature’s Link Corp (MNLC), maker of Malungai LifeOil. The partnership was forged for the furtherance of greater service to the Filipino people and nation. Explicitly, MNLC will donate P3.00 to PRC for every box of Malungai LifeOil sold.

Over the years, MNLC has been actively supporting the Philippine Red Cross and its advocacies.

Chairman Gordon, in his closing address, underscored:“It’s not about the money; it’s about heart, compassion, and caring.”

He ended his speech by thanking all the institutions and personalities who have helped PRC’s causes saying their kindness help PRC fulfill “our justification of being members of human race.”
